Monument to Solidarity at the Gdansk Shipyards

As an instructor I aim to share a theoretical and relevant knowledge of sociology that will help students view the world sociologically, enabling them to challenge common sense and to recognize that often what we believe or how we behave is the product of social action rather than nature. I also work with them to link this recognition to an awareness that society is changeable and that each student has the ability to be an agent of social change him or herself. Last, but certainly not least, I want to help each of my students be successful in pursuit of his or her broader academic and professional goals.
